Vice-Chancellor meets the Web Team

The University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor , Prof. Peter Mbithi  interacted with the Web Team and shared his agenda at the Council Chambers today, February, 23, 2016.

Speaking during the meeting, Prof. Mbithi congratulated the Web Team for the job well done in the recent Webometrics rankings where the University was ranked position 6 in Africa and the best in the region.

The Vice-Chancellor also urged the Web Team to embrace team work to enable them do better noting that the University is currently ranked among giants and it will be an uphill task climbing up. Despite the challenge, Prof. Mbithi has pledged that the University will support the Web Team to achieve their mandate - to help the university achieve world class excellence. Prof. Mbithi suggested team building as one of the activities that would help in creating team work.

The Web team were also urged to embrace the University values of professionalism, passion, commitment in their work.

In his closing remarks the Vice-Chancellor advised the Web Team to develop a grand strategy that will steer them forward and be prepared for unrealistic targets.

The meeting was also attended by ICTC Director, Mr. Ibrahim Otieno, ICTC Deputy Director, Paul Kariuki and Mr. Leonard Musyoka, Senior Assistant Registrar in charge of Performance Contracting together with the Performance Contract Team.
