The University of Nairobi will soon be collaborating with Australian leading Universities like Melbourne and Monarch University.
This was revealed when Australian delegation led by Ms. Karine Ataya, Regional Director, Education Services Middle East , Africa and Turkey and Ms. Brenda Wabule, Business Development Manager, East Africa Growth and Emerging Markets visited the Vice-Chancellor in his office, today, June, 7, 2016.
Speaking during the courtesy call, Prof. Henry Mutoro who was speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi noted that the University is open to collaboration with other universities around the globe as it contributes considerably to the aspect of internationalization.
The university has a mandate to have a quarter of its student population being international students.
Collaboration with Australian leading universities will be more on students and staff exchange, research collaboration and cooperation with industry to solve issues. This high breed system of combining theory and practise will help students gain the much needed experience upon completion of their studies.
