The top officials of AIESEC met the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi and presented their challenges to him during a courtesy call in his office. The meeting was held at the Vice-Chancellors Boardroom on July, 27, 2016.
Speaking during the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor urged students to work hard and excel in all their endeavours. He urged them to excel both in academia and leadership. He urged them to be first in everything they lay their hands on and leave a good legacy.
Among the challenges the officials are faced with include: getting internship opportunities to students, reaching students from all the six colleges, getting accommodation for foreign students, increasing the club membership, creating lasting linkages and partnerships with the companies and corporates.
The club is organizing a bus campaign, where students will volunteer for six weeks in different countries from Uganda, to Tanzania to Rwanda. AIESEC President will also be visiting Holland later in the year and they need support.
Also present during the meeting was the Corporate Affairs Director, Mr. John Orindi.
