Ladies and Gentlemen, the University of Nairobi continues to seek and engage in active collaborations towards realization of its vision. Yesterday afternoon we entered a collaboration with the Global Centre on Adaptation to support initiatives on acceleration of climate change adaptation. The signing of this collaboration was witnessed by His Excellency, President Uhuru Kenyatta. On the same occasion, His Excellency the President was Inaugurated as the Global Champion for the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program. We congratulate H.E the President, for this recognition and for choosing our iconic Taifa hall for this historic event. The University of Nairobi community will support him in the global role he has taken.

Thank you and God bless you abundantly.
