The malaria atlas project aims to disseminate free, accurate and up-to-date geographical information on malaria and associated topics. shares a wide variety of 'malariometric' data which include malaria cases reported by surveillance systems, nationally representative cross-sectional surveys of parasite rate, and satellite imagery capturing global environmental conditions that influence malaria transmission. The MAP group provides the outputs of research, as well as broader technical advice and support, to National Malaria Control Programmes (NMCPs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Ministries of Health, and other third parties . The Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program is a collection of representative data on population, health, HIV, and nutrition through more than 400 surveys in over 90 countries. Data for Kenya on the site includes DHS 1989-2014 and the Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) of 2015.

The human resource committee held it’s second committee meeting for the year 2018, on 29^th May 2018 at Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) offices, from 8:00am to 9:00am.The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ken Auma – Committee chair. The idea to start a primate research centre in Kenya was mooted in 1958 when Dr. LSB Leakey was visiting Ghana. He found that his friend, Dr. Alan Angus Booth, had died very suddenly after about nine years of primate research work in Ghana, which he had carried out jointly with his wife, Cynthia Booth. Both of them had been known to LSB Dr. LSB Leakey for a long time, and both were very highly qualified Cambridge University graduates in Biology and Animal Behavior. Dr. LSB Leakey enquired of Cynthia what she planned to do now that her husband had died, and she said that she would finish off the publication of their latest joint report, and wind current research, and then she would wish to leave Ghana. After pondering the matter for 24 hours, LSB suggested the next day that she should come and continue research on monkeys with a base somewhere near Nairobi. Accordingly, at the end of 1958 she arrived in Kenya, and the Tigoni Primate Research Centre came into existence.

The Global Health Observatory, Explore a world of health data

The GHO data repository is WHO's gateway to health-related statistics for its 194 Member States. It provides access to over 1000 indicators on priority health topics including mortality and burden of diseases, violence and injuries, the MDGs and health systems among others.
The datasets represent the best estimates of WHO using methodologies for specific indicators that aim for comparability across countries and time. Updates are periodic based on new data availability or changes in methodology. Therefore, they are not always the same as official national estimates. Whenever possible, WHO will provide Member States the opportunity to review and comment on data and estimates as part of country consultations. The data goes as far back as 1960s for some indicators and countries.
