State Department of Economic Planning PS Pays Courtesy Call to The Vice Chancellor (Ag) Ahead of the Kenya Population and Development Conference 2025

The Principal Secretary, State Department of Economic Planning, National Treasury, Mr James Muhati, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, Prof Margaret Hutchinson, on March 11, 2023, ahead of the opening  Ceremony of the Kenya Population and Development Conference 2025. Accompanying the PS was the Director General of the National Council for Population and Development, Dr. Mohamed Sheikh.

During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor warmly welcomed the delegation to the University of Nairobi, expressing appreciation for their visit and emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fostering discussions on population and development matters. She wished the guests fruitful deliberations during the conference, which is set to bring together key stakeholders to explore critical issues related to population dynamics, economic planning, and sustainable development in Kenya.

The Principal Secretary and the Director General extended their gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for her hospitality and warm welcome. They acknowledged the University of Nairobi’s pivotal role in advancing research and policy dialogues that contribute to the nation’s socio-economic growth.
