    Induction workshop for Deans and Associate Deans

    The University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama led the management in an induction workshop for the newly elected Faculty Deans and appointed Associate Deans for the Faculties.

    The Vice Chancellor congratulated the Deans on their election and appointment saying he looks forward to working with them for the betterment of the university.

    During the workshop, the Vice Chancellor delivered a keynote address titled: People reforms for a relevant, vibrant and sustainable University.

    The Vice Chancellor, UoN Prof. Stephen Kiama hosted the Secretary General of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) Prof.  Ernest Aryeetey who was on a fact finding mission to assess the progress of the Centers of Excellence in ARUA member Universities.

    Courtesy call by European Union Ambassador

    The Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama hosted European Union Ambassador Her Excellency Henriette Geiger who paid a courtesy call on him.

    The Vice Chancellor and the Ambassador deliberated  on the existing opportunities for Kenyan students to study in Europe under the Erasmus Scholarship program.

    UoN & West Ukrainian National University sign collaborative agreement

    The University of Nairobi (UoN) and the West Ukrainian National University signed a collaborative agreement to promote the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experience in all aspects of the curriculum and support services, including administration and management structures.

    The Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama assured the Ukrainian delegation of UoN’s commitment to being a strategic partner in providing opportunities for Ukrainian students to engage and interact with Kenyan culture.

    The Swedish Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Caroline Vicini paid a courtesy call on the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen on 23rd August, 2022.

    VC hosts AFRETEC delegation

    The University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama played host to a delegation from the Africa Engineering and Technology network (AFRETEC) on 22nd August, 2022.

    The delegation led by Prof. Allen Robinson the Director of Carnegie Mellon University in Africa (CMU Africa) was at UoN to establish possible areas of collaboration.

    Five universities make up AFRETEC, which is led by CMU-Africa and will, among other things, give its members a forum for intense collaboration that promotes equitable digital growth in Africa.
