The University of Nairobi hosted a high-level delegation from France’s National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA) on October 2, 2025, for a courtesy call aimed at strengthening ties in digital science and technology.

The University of Nairobi received a delegation from the China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB), a leading institution in China under the Ministry of Natural Resources, on September 23, 2025. The courtesy call was centred on possible collaboration in the field of Geosciences.

The Director General of the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) Dr Mohamed A. Sheikh, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor (Ag) of the University of Nairobi, Prof Margaret Hutchinson on February 4, 2025. The meeting underscored the institution's commitment to advancing research and policy in population studies.

The University of Nairobi has further strengthened its global partnerships by signing a groundbreaking collaboration agreement with the Heidelberg Institute for Global Health (HIGH). The agreement was signed on November 28, 2024, by the Vice Chancellor (Ag), Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, and HIGH Director, Prof. Dr Till Bärnighausen. The signing marked a significant milestone in fostering joint initiatives in public health.

The University of Nairobi (UoN) took another significant step towards enhancing its global presence by signing two key collaboration agreements with Hainan University and Jiujiang Vocational University on October 30, 2024. These agreements, coordinated through the Confucius Institute at UoN, aim to bolster cross-cultural exchanges and foster a stronger global academic network.

In a strategic move to bolster innovation and further the University of Nairobi’s agenda for technological advancement, the Vice Chancellor (Ag) Prof Margaret Hutchinson signed a collaboration agreement with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) on October 25, 2024.
