The University of Nairobi welcomed the Vice President of RMIT University, Prof. Colin Picker, for a high-level courtesy visit with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, on 21 May 2025. This meeting represents a significant milestone in strengthening academic and research ties between the two esteemed institutions.

The University of Nairobi has officially launched a ground-breaking collaboration with the Sikh Council of Africa to introduce the Study of Sikh Dharam Studies at the institution. The partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony between the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, and the Chairman of the Sikh Council of Africa, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Gharial, on February 21, 2025, at the iconic Taifa Hall.

The University of Nairobi and Elgon Kenya Ltd have officially entered into a landmark collaboration with the signing of a Trust Deed for the establishment of the Kantaria Agricultural Technology and Innovation Centre (KATIC). The signing ceremony, held on February 21, 2025, at the University of Nairobi, was graced by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, the Indian High Commissioner to Kenya, H.E. Namgya Khampa and the Managing Director of Elgon Kenya, Dr. Bimal Kantaria.

The Director General of the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) Dr Mohamed A. Sheikh, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor (Ag) of the University of Nairobi, Prof Margaret Hutchinson on February 4, 2025. The meeting underscored the institution's commitment to advancing research and policy in population studies.

UoN Partners with Heidelberg Institute for Global Health to Advance Public Health Research and Education
COLLABORATION,  

The University of Nairobi has further strengthened its global partnerships by signing a groundbreaking collaboration agreement with the Heidelberg Institute for Global Health (HIGH). The agreement was signed on November 28, 2024, by the Vice Chancellor (Ag), Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, and HIGH Director, Prof. Dr Till Bärnighausen. The signing marked a significant milestone in fostering joint initiatives in public health.

The University of Nairobi (UoN) took another significant step towards enhancing its global presence by signing two key collaboration agreements with Hainan University and Jiujiang Vocational University on October 30, 2024. These agreements, coordinated through the Confucius Institute at UoN, aim to bolster cross-cultural exchanges and foster a stronger global academic network.
