The University of Nairobi once again demonstrated its unrivaled talent and artistic brilliance as its students shone brightly at the recent National Music Festival. The remarkable achievements of the students were celebrated during a special ceremony, where they presented their well-deserved trophies to Prof. Stephen Kiama, the Vice-Chancellor of the University. The event, held at the prestigious Chandaria Centre for Performing Arts, UoN Towers, on May 19, 2023, showcased the University of Nairobi's commitment to nurturing and celebrating exceptional talent.

On May 5, 2023, the University of Nairobi held its prestigious Students' Recognition Award Ceremony, to celebrate and acknowledge the exceptional accomplishments of its students. The ceremony was a testament to the university's commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent, academic excellence, and holistic development among its student community.

The University of Nairobi, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama, has embarked on an exciting journey of international collaboration. In a recent meeting, Prof. Kiama engaged in fruitful discussions with Prof. Dr. José Luis Rivers, a renowned veterinarian and expert in Agriculture from the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, and Prof. Dr. Ricardo Campos, a distinguished Kinesiologist and member of the Faculty of Medicine at the prestigious Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

The University of Nairobi has received a remarkable donation of 45 book titles from four ASEAN countries: Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. This generous contribution was made possible through the respective embassies in Nairobi, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations with these individual nations.

The University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama joined stakeholders and academia drawn from UoN in validating research outputs UNEP/ UON Blue Economy Sectors.

On Monday 13th March 2023, the President of Italy, His Excellency Sergio Mattarella, arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for his four-day official visit to Kenya.

As part of his itinerary, on 13th March 2023, President Mattarella held a public lecture on climate change at the University of Nairobi. This lecture shed light on the importance of addressing climate change and its impacts on society.
