Coding for Employment Centre of excellence Launched at the University of Nairobi

In 2018, the African Development Bank, together with partners – The Rockefeller Foundation, Microsoft and Facebook – launched the Coding for Employment Program at the African Innovation Summit in Kigali, Rwanda. By training youth in demand-driven Information and Communications Technology (ICT) curriculum and matching graduates directly with ICT employers, this program was aimed at preparing Africa’s youth for tomorrow’s jobs and unleashing the next generation of young digital innovators from the continent.

UoN VC Prof Kiama meets Ukrainian Ambassador Mr. Andrii Pravednyk

Signet Channel 602 is the official University of Nairobi Channel. With the tag line 'Empowering You', the station was conceptualized primarily as a media Lab for students undertaking media studies at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and other disciplines to enable them to acquire and apply the right skills required by the Industry in print media, photography, film production, electronic media, performance arts, and engineering.
