World Bank Donates Ultra-Modern Equipment to University of Nairobi's Civil & Construction Engineering Department

The World Bank, in collaboration with the State Department for Roads under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, donated state-of-the-art equipment worth 531 million Kenya Shillings to the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Nairobi. This significant investment falls under the East African Regional Trade and Development Facilitation Project (EARTTDFP), which aims to improve the movement of people and goods, digital connectivity and access to social services for communities.

The University of Nairobi has officially launched a ground-breaking collaboration with the Sikh Council of Africa to introduce the Study of Sikh Dharam Studies at the institution. The University of Nairobi and Elgon Kenya Ltd have officially entered into a landmark collaboration with the signing of a Trust Deed for the establishment of the Kantaria Agricultural Technology and Innovation Centre (KATIC). UoN and inABLE Partner to Empower Visually Impaired Students

In a remarkable step toward inclusivity and empowerment, the University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Law held a handover ceremony for 10 programmed MacBooks to its visually impaired students. This significant event held at the Parklands Campus on January 30, 2025, marked a collaborative effort between the University of Nairobi and inABLE-Kenya, a non-profit organisation based in Kenya and the United States that uses computer-assisted technology to empower blind and visually impaired students in Africa.

UoN to Establish Nyandarua University College as CUE Evaluation Commences

The Vice Chancellor (Ag) of the University of Nairobi, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, visited the upcoming Nyandarua University College, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to support the commencement of its technical evaluation by the Commission for University Education (CUE). The evaluation process marks a critical step toward the institution receiving a Letter of Interim Authority, which will allow it to start offering degree programs and becoming a constituent college of the University of Nairobi.
